Sheriff’s Department Makes Drug Arrests

On 06-07-2007, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, along with the NOMO (North Missouri Drug Task Force, ATF (Alcohol Tobacco, and Firearms), Missouri State Highway Patrol,  Missouri State Highway Patrol DDCC (Division Drug Crime Control), Adair County Sheriff’s Office,  Adair County K-9 Unit, Brookfield Police Department, and the Moberly Police Department executed four (4) Search Warrants in Clark County simultaneously.
Tips from the public, led law enforcement officials to start an investigation into illegal drug activity in the four Clark County Missouri residences. 
On 06-07-2007,  Robert L. Asher, age 47 of Rural Wayland Missouri was arrested and charged with Attempt to Manufacture a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Anhydrous Ammonia in a non-approved container.  Asher is being held on a $75,000 cash only bond.  Asher will appear in the Clark County Circuit Court, Associate Division II at a later date.
A female who resides at the residence, but was not present at the time of the search was located on 06-08-2007.   Bobbie K. Miller, age 45 of Rural Wayland Missouri was arrested and charged with Attempt to Manufacture a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Anhydrous Ammonia in a non-approved container.  Miller is being held on a 24 hour investigative hold.
On 06-07-2007, Melissa L. Washburn, age 35 of Rural Kahoka was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.  Washburn is being held on a $50,000 cash only bond.  Washburn will appear in the Clark County Circuit Court, Associate Division II at a later date.
On 06-07-2007, Avard L. Washburn, age 46 of Rural Kahoka was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Washburn was held on a 24 hour Investigative hold, and will appear in the Clark County Circuit Court, Associate Division II at a later date.
On 06-07-2007, Cortney A. Kite, age 19 of Argyle, Iowa was arrested and held on a 24 hour investigative hold pending charges.
A male from rural Kahoka is also being sought for attempting to manufacture Methamphetamine, and several other charges. 
Methamphetamine Lab trash was removed from an inhabitable residence.  The owners of the property are being sought for questioning regarding the items that were located.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
