Pilot Sustains Minor Injuries In Tuesday Plane Crash

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office reports a one injury accident involving a crop duster air-plane owned by Wood’s Flying Service of Memphis, MO. 

The Air-Plane was a Cessna 188B flown by David Woods of Memphis, MO.  Woods was spraying a corn field approx. 3 miles North of Wyaconda, MO. Woods stated that the plane clipped a tree causing the plane to spin out of control and land on its top in a wooded area. 

Woods was able to walk away from the crash site. Woods was transported to Scotland County Memorial Hospital by the Scotland County Ambulance.  Woods was treated and released by the Scotland County Memorial Hospital. 

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Clark County Ambulance, Clark County Rescue Squad, Wyaconda Fire Department, Wyaconda First Responders, Scotland County Sheriff’s Office, Scotland County Ambulance and the Scotland County Fire Department.

The investigation is continuing by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Clark County Sheriff’s Office and the F.A.A.
