Clark County 4-H Holds Achievement Night

Clark County 4-H Achievement was held Wednesday evening June 27 at the Kahoka Christian Church.
This year’s host club was the Ashton Cloverleaf 4-H Club.  The club was represented by Megan Oilar and Kelsey Arnold who led the pledges to flags.
Events held during the evening were the Fashion Revue, Fashion Selection, Demonstrations, Judging and Table Setting.
Kelsey Arnold will be representing Clark County as our over 14 winner in Clothing Construction.  Kelsey made a lovely red and white polka dotted sundress dress of a sheer material.  She chose white accessories, a bracelet, earrings, headband, shoes and a purse.
Ashley Kleine wore a multicolored summer dress with a flared skirt, as she modeled her crochet purse of aqua with white lace trim, and carried the crochet coaster that she had made with a light blue.  She will be our under 13 representative in either crochet or fashion selection at State Fashion Revue in September.
Drenda Hess, a Clover Kid, modeled her pretty summer dress with white background and large pink and green polk-a-dots, trimmed with a bright pink ribbon belt.  As a Clover Kid, she received a Clover Kid participation ribbon and a purple top achievement winner ribbon.
Drenda also did a table setting exhibit, for which she was awarded a Clover Kid and purple ribbons.
Ashley Kleine is our Table Setting bell winner this year with her blue ribbon table, which featured pineapple design.  The bell will be hand painted by Joan Ferry.
Judging classes were judged by Megan Oilar, Kelsey Arnold and Ashley Kleine who each received blue ribbons.  Drenda Hess received a Clover Kids ribbon.
Ashley Kleine gave a demonstration on crocheting coasters using plastic lids and yarn.  She received a blue ribbon, and will be eligible to give her demonstration at the Missouri State Fair in August.
Judges for the evening were Joanne Ragan in Table Setting, Melody Uhlmeyer for Fashion Revue, and Kay Campbell and Chris Sewell for demonstrations.  Karen Arnold and Lynn Kleine listened to judging reasons.
Debby Whiston gave modeling tips to the girls for the Fashion Show and was emcee for the event.
Lynn Kleine was Fashion Revue Chairperson.
Pam Oilar, Ashton Cloverleaf Club leader prepared the drinks and the evening was planned by Linda Gordy, Clark County YPA.
