7th Annual Mark Trump Memorial Golf Tournament to be Held Aug 11

The seventh Annual Mark Trump Memorial Golf Tournament, public fish fry, and children’s Putting and Driving Contest will be held on Saturday, August 11, at the Twin Lakes Golf Course, in Kahoka, Missouri.

This year two applications from graduates for the agricultural scholarships have been received. They are Dustin Roskamp from Warsaw High School and Tyler Otto from North Shelby High School. In the last six years scholarships totaling $18,800 have been awarded to twenty-four area students. These students appreciate the efforts of those participating in the golf tournament.

Scholarships in both agriculture and aeronautics are available to all area high school graduates. For more information contact your high school counselor or Harold or Marvis Trump.

The funds for the scholarships are raised at the annual golf tournament held on the second Saturday of August each year. This years golfing fees are $50 per person for 18 holes of golf. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m., with tee time at 9:00 a.m. You may bring your own team of four, or interested singles will be combined with others. Last year there were twenty-six teams participating. Lunch is prepared by the Clark County Cattlemen, and donations are given to the scholarship fund.

Following the tournament a fish fry will be held for the general public and the golfers from 5-7 p.m., with a free will offering.

This year will be the sixth year for the Children’s Driving and Putting Contest, which is held at 6:00 p.m. for ages twelve and under. There is no charge for this event.
