Kahoka Woman Killed In Two Vehicle Accident
A Kahoka student at Northwest Missouri State University was killed in a two vehicle accident one mile east of Bethany, Missouri, Tuesday afternoon, November 20, as she was driving home for Thanksgiving break.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Abigail Lynn Scott, 21, of Kahoka was driving a 1994 Ford Escort eastbound on Highway 136 when she crossed the center line, travelling off the north side of the highway, overcorrected and struck the front of a grain truck driven by Michael Grable of Troy, Kansas.
Scott was taken to the Harrison County Hospital in Bethany where she was pronounced deceased.
The accident was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, assisted by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department, and Bethany Police Department.
