Clark Co. R-1 Music Instructor Bob Dooley Receives Congressional and State Honors

Clark County R-1 Music Director Bob Dooley received some high honors Sunday March 30, during the High School’s music program.
Dooley was surprised to be honored with a Congressional Medal of Merit from Congressman Kenny Hulshof. The award, which reads “For meritorious service to your students and community, for your inspirational leadership, and for serving as an asset to Kahoka, Clark County and Northeast Missouri for over a quarter-century, as nominated by the Kahoka Clark County Economic Development Corporation,” was presented to Dooley by Steve Murphy.
Murphy followed with a letter from Senator Kit Bond which also honored Dooley for his dedication and accomplishments with the CCR-1 music program. That letter was submitted by Bond to the Congressional Record.
State Representative Brian Munzlinger presented Dooley with a proclamation from Governor Matt Blunt, which recognized and commends Dooley for the positive impact he has made on his students and the Clark County R-1 School District.
“I couldn’t do this without the kids and the parents,” Dooley said, praising his students and the work ethic of the Kahoka area.
