AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AND APPROVING SALARY AND WAGES FOR CERTAIN ELECTED OFFICERS, APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES
OF THE CITY OF KAHOKA, MISSOURI

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF KAHOKA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Aldermen for the City of Kahoka
being fully advised in the premises and pursuant terms of Missouri Revised Statutes Section 79.270 do hereby set and affix the salaries wages and compensation for the following named officers, both elected and appointed, as well as the following named employees for the City of Kahoka for the fiscal year beginning April 1, 2008 and ending March 31, 2009 herein as follows, to-wit:

GENERAL FUND
City Attorney $1,500.00 per month
City Consultant (Chis Lentz) $100.00 per month
Fire Chief $200.00 per month
CEMETERY
Cemetery Sexton (John Hume) $2,700.00 per year
ANIMAL CONTROL
Dog Catcher $6.65 per hour plus an extra $5.00 per animal capture
CITY POOL
Manager $3,800.00 per season Assistant Pool Manager $6.65 per hour WSI $6.65 per hour Certified Lifeguards $6.65 per hour
CITY STREET DEPARTMENT
Laborer (Kirk Huckey) $9.25 per hour
Street Supervisor (Ron Bourgeois) $10.53 per hour
CITY WATER AND SEWER
Water Generation Supervisor (Kevin Eagle) $11.26 per hour Water/Sewer Supervisor (Kevin Yates) $12.93 per hour David Edmondson $12.24 per hour Aaron Daw $9.00 per hour Jena Church $8.40 per hour
CITY ELECTRIC
Electric Supervisor (Norbert Killday) $12.88 per hour
Electric Generation Supervisor (John Williams) $13.62 per hour
George LeMaster $11.15 per hour
Chris Plant $10.00 per hour
Lineman Helper $16.00 per hour
Systems Technician and Journey Line Man Second Stage $27.65 per hour
Journey Line Worker $31.72 per hour Systems Technician $30.85 per hour
CITY CABLE
Cable Supervisor Jim Neves $16.50 per hour Scott Goben $12.00 per hour
CITY ASSISTANT
James Sherwood $11.15 per hour
In addition to the compensation set out herein the employees are further authorized additional compensation for vacation time, 4 hours per month sick leave, 457 retirement plan, medical and dental insurance coverage.
CITY CLERK salary of $21,692.00 per year based on a minimum 37.5 hour work week and additional time which may be required by the Mayor or the Board of Aldermen with no overtime, plus $50.00 for each council meeting and KCDI meeting attended.
In addition to the compensation set out herein the City Clerk is further authorized vacation time, 4 hours per month sick leave, 457 retirement plan, medical and dental insurance coverage. The City Clerk has tendered her resignation which has been accepted by the Board of Aldermen effective June 30, 2008 at which time the interim city clerk will assume the full duties of the City Clerk at the salary fixed for the interim city clerk.
INTERIM CITY CLERK salary $22,570.00 per year based on a minimum 37.5 hour work week and additional time which may be required by the Mayor or the

Board of Aldermen with no overtime, plus $50.00 for each council meeting and KCDI meeting attended.
In addition to the compensation set out herein the City Clerk is further authorized vacation time, 4 hours per month sick leave, 457 retirement plan, medical and dental insurance coverage.
CITY TREASURER salary of $15,600.00 per year based upon a minimum 37.5 per hour work week and additional time which may be required by the Mayor or Board of Aldermen, including attending council
In addition to the compensation set out herein the City Treasurer is further authorized vacation time, 4 hours per month sick leave, 457 retirement plan, medical and dental insurance coverage.
CITY COLLECTOR salary of $3,600.00 per year. POLICE DEPARTMENT
Chief of Police $26,780.00 per year payable every two weeks.
Chief Deputy Police Chief $25,122.00 per year payable every two weeks.
Full time Police Officer $24,028.00 per year payable every two weeks.
Part time Police Officers $9.00 per hour payable every two weeks for 90 day probation period increasing to^9.25 per hour payable every two weeks after probation period effective upon hiring date, hours to be fixed by the Police Board and Chief of Police; in addition to the compensation set out herein the part time Police Officers are further authorized additional compensation for uniform allowance to be fixed by the Police Board and Chief of Police.
In addition to the compensation set out herein the Chief of Police, Chief Deputy Police Chief and the full time Police Officer are further authorized vacation time, 4 hours per month sick leave, 457 retirement plan, medical and dental insurance coverage and uniform allowance.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and Board of Alderman may authorize additional compensation in the form of overtime payments, vacation time, sick leave, 457 retirement plan, medical and dental insurance coverage for only employees of the City and not Officers of the City, which have not been specifically set out herein, from time to time.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and take effect on
April 1, 2008 after its passage and approval.
