Days Delayed in Clark County
(Kahoka,
MO) – The American Cancer Society Daffodil Days will face a slight delay in
Daffodil deliveries due to inclement weather where the flowers are harvested.
It looks like flowers won’t be delivered to Clark County until Friday
afternoon, then volunteers will need to sort and prepare for local delivery. If
you have any questions, please contact Michelle Allen at 660-341-7061.
“We are terribly sorry for any inconvenience,” said
Michelle Allen, 2009 Daffodil Days Chairperson. “Some things are just out of
our control, and the weather is one of them” said Allen. “We will have the
Daffodils delivered as soon as possible.”
Continue to listen to the local media for further
developments.
Proceeds from the sale of the “first
flower of spring and the flower of hope” help fund American Cancer Society
programs, including youth tobacco, nutrition, and skin education; breast cancer
and prostate cancer awareness programs; services to patients; and free
materials to physicians and individuals.
