CCRWD’s New Tank In Service

CCRWD’s New Tank In Service

The Clark County Rural Water District, which serves some 2800 customers in northeast Missouri, dedicated its new 750,000 gallon concrete water tank on Wednesday, August 5.
Construction on the $800,000 project began in April, according the project’s engineer, Kyle Pociask of MECO Engineering.
Concrete construction, which is unusual for this area, was selected because of its cost.
“It used to be that they weren’t cost competitive, but the price of steel has increased,” Pociask explained.
The tank replaces a 500,000 gallon, glass-lined steel tank that has been plagued with leaking problems.  It will be removed.
CCRWD board members are Wayne Welker (President), Lee Lemmon, (Vice President), Russell Mathes, Kirby Clark and James Hudnut.  Former members Grover Gamm and David McCutcheon were also very involved in the project.
