All-Night Search For Missing People Leads To Drug Arrest
An all night search for two missing adult females and a three year old male child turned into a drug arrest.
Saturday evening, Lee and Clark County’s Emergency Personnel were involved in an all night search, of the Des Moines river area, between St. Francisville, Missouri and Keokuk, Iowa, for Amy Jo Wright, date of birth June 6, 1985 of Burlington, Iowa, her 3 year old male child, and Sarah E. Kincaid, date of birth October 5, 1985 of Ft. Madison, Iowa.
The search turned out positive in one aspect and negative in another. Both female adults and the male juvenile were found in good condition, in the early am of Sunday, August 23rd in Iowa, by Lee County Searchers.
Upon returning to their van, parked at St. Francisville, Missouri, where their journey began, they were found to be in possession of Methamphetamine, Marijuana, and Drug Paraphernalia, which was in close proximity of the three year old child.
At approximately 0926 hours, Wright and Kincaid were arrested for Possession of
Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine – Class C Felony, Endangering the Welfare of a Child – Class C Felony, Possession of Marijuana and Paraphernalia – Both Class A Misdemeanors and were then transported to Clark County Detention Center, where they are being held on $100,000.00 Cash Only Bond, awaiting arraignment. The three year old child was transported to Clark County Sheriff’s Office, turned over to a Family Services Special Worker, and later to the child’s grandparents.
