CCR-1 District Seeks Public Input

CCR-1 District Seeks Public Input

The architectural firm engaged by the Clark County R-1 School District to assess district needs has concluded their studies and in an effort to make sure all parents and patrons in the district have input, the District invites all parents and patrons to attend building meetings with our architects and engineers.  These meetings are designed to allow you to give input into projects to improve the educational functionality, safety, energy efficiency, parking and traffic flow, mechanical, and structural stability of our current school buildings.  The meetings will be conducted by the building principals.  They will be asking for your input into what changes and improvements you would like.  Our architects and engineers will be there to answer your questions.  Each building will compile a list of needs and a district committee will be formed to prioritize the needs.
The meetings will be held in each building.  The school buildings will be open one hour prior to the start of the meetings to allow time to tour the facilities.  The following are dates and times for the meetings:
Thursday, November 19
5:30 p.m. Black Hawk Elementary
6:30 p.m. Running Fox Elementary
Tuesday, November 24
5:30 p.m. Middle School
7:00 p.m. High School
The District will be seeking a no tax increase bond issue in April.  The District will have the ability to generate between two to three million dollars for renovations and improvements to our current facilities and grounds.  Taxes will not increase.  It will extend the debt service levy that the District currently has on the high school and new addition to the middle school.
