Harness Racing to Return to Clark County Fair
The Clark County Fair board members are excited to announce the return of harness racing at the 2010 county fair, one day only, on Sunday, July 18, beginning at 1:30 pm.
The horse racers were already scheduled elsewhere for our regular Sunday fair date, but they agreed to come the Sunday prior to the regular fair dates of July 21 through July 25.
We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy this opportunity to again have horse racing at the Clark county Fair. Its success this year will determine the future of racing in Clark County.
If anyone would like to make any size contribution toward the horse racing event it would be a big help. With a $200 donation you will receive free advertising on the racing form, as well as the fair book and a trophy for racing winners will display your name. They have indicated that we can expect seven to nine races.
The fair board would also like to create a history/museum of the fair history to be exhibited in the commercial building. If anyone has any memorabilia of the fair or horse racing history that they would be willing to exhibit, please contact Marvis Trump at 660-341-5650 for details.
