Lewis County REC Chooses New CEO/General Manager
The Lewis County REC Board of Directors named Mr. Patrick Griggs as the successor to retiring Manager John Bloom. Mr. Griggs will officially assume the duties August 30, 2013.
Mr. Griggs has 32 years of experience in electric cooperatives. He is the Northern Regional Manager for Corn Belt Energy Cooperative in Illinois. As Regional Manager, he oversees the daily operations for service to over 7,000 electric members and 1,800 miles of electric lines. His experience in addition to Regional Manager includes Staking Engineer, Member Service Director, Vice President of Electrical Distribution, and Manager of Engineering.
He and his wife Linda recently celebrated 30 years of marriage. Linda is a registered nurse. Mr. Griggs is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hunting and fishing. He has memberships in the local Chamber of Commerce, Ducks Unlimited, Masonic Lodge, and his church. Other activities include farming and officiating basketball and football.

As CEO/General Manager, he is looking forward to the opportunity and the challenges that lie ahead.
