Quick, Powerful Storm Slams Kahoka

Chain saws are buzzing in the aftermath of a powerful storm that blew through Kahoka on Thursday afternoon.  Trees were toppled, and at least one power pole snapped in the brief storm.  Heavy rain filled ditches and streams across town.

Most of the damage was in the northwest part of Kahoka, roughly between Jefferson Street west to Martin Ave, and mostly north of Court Street.  There were also reports of roof and shed damage.
