Kahoka To Hold Tax Hearing

The City of Kahoka will hold a public hearing on proposed property tax rates Thursday, August 26, 2014 at 6:00 pm in the City Hall Board Room. At this time citizens may be heard on the property tax rates being proposed by the City. The rates are set to produce the revenues which the City budget shows to be required. The tax rate is determined by dividing the amount of revenue required by the current valuation. The result is multiplied by 100, so the tax will be expressed in cents per $100.00
