On Wednesday September 23rd, Clark County Lady Indians traveled to Lancaster, to take on the Schuyler County Lady Rams.
Clark County got on the scoreboard early. Alexis Ellison reached base with a leadoff walk. Ally Fox struck out. Ellison stole second and stole third. Kiara Brunk grounded out, allowing Ellison to score.
In the second inning Darian Harper singled to reach base. Hannah Hill struck out. Gloria Shannon singled with a bunt, and Harper advanced to third. Shannon stole second base. Ashtyn Ebeling walked to load the bases. Olivia Miller struck out. Ellison tripled to clear the bases. Ellison scored on a Fox single, and after two innings Clark County led 5 -0
Clark County would pick up six runs in the fourth inning. After Ebeling grounded out, Miller singled and Ellison doubled. Fox singled and A Ellison scored. Brunk singled and moved Fox to third base. Ellie Hamner walked, Brunk advanced to 2nd and Fox remained at 3rd. Fox stole home. Harper homered to score three runs. Hill singled, and Shannon grounded out. Ebeling grounded out to end the inning.
In the fifth inning, Miller hit a line drive double. Ellison singled, moving Miller to third. Fox tripled to clear the bases. Brunk popped out to right field, and Fox scored after tagging up. Hamner doubled. Harper grounded out, advancing Hamner. Hill singled. Hill was thrown out advancing to 2nd, and after five innings Clark County led 15-0, which turned out to be the final.
Clark County scored 15 runs on 16 hits. Ashtyn Ebeling pitched four and two-third innings, allowing nine hits and only two runs.
