The third-ranked Monroe City Panthers wasted no time putting points on the scoreboard when they visited Clark County of Friday, December 15. Monroe City put the first 16 points on the board, and allowed Clark County only a single bucket in the opening quarter, scored by Sam Wheeler with just 1:22 remaining in the quarter. After the first period, Monroe City led 18-2.
They stretched their lead to 33-12 at the half, and cruised to a 55-23 win
Wheeler led the Indians with 11 points. Aaron Day scored four, and Eli Elam, Gabe Hunziker, Conner Pearl and Drayson Daniels had two points each.
The Indians will face Highland Tuesday in the opening round of the Tony Lenzini Tournament at Palmyra.
