The Clark County Lady Indians earned enough team points at the MSHSAA Class 2 State Championships to claim 8th place overall.
Individually, the top performer was Alexis Ellison, who placed second in Long Jump with a 17-7.5 leap, just half an inch short of the winning jump.
Ellison also placed third in the 100M, with a time of 12:49, just 0.04 seconds behind the leader. Abby Plenge placed 14th in the 100M with a 13.03 time.
Ellison placed fifth in the 200m, crossing the line in 26.15.
Plenge also claimed sixth place in the 400m, with a time of 1:00.73.
Ally Fox placed sixth in the Javelin Throw, with a toss of 106-1. Elly Hamner’s throw of 98-10 put her in 12th place.
Grace Buschling had a seventh place finish in the 3200M, with a time of 12:02.04. Buschling also placed ninth in the 1600M, finishing in 5:30.78.
The 4×400 team of Abby Plenge, Kiara Brunk, Maggie Weaver and Delana Hess placed 14th, with a time of 4:26.38.
The lone Indian runner to compete at state was Ethan Nelson, who placed 14th in the 3200M, with time of 10:44.
