The Southwest Trap Team traveled once again to Linn Creek, Missouri on June 26, 2021. This time for the Missouri AIM State Shoot. Parents sat under umbrellas while the participants got soaked as they stood on the shooting line. The overcast sky and rain made shooting targets more difficult, but that did not slow down these top notch shooters. Once again, Caleb Ayer shot his way to being the AIM Sub-Jr. Champion in a field of 107 shooters. The Sub-Jr squad placed 5th in the Sub-Jr. Division. The high school squad of Ty Howard, Olivia Ayer, Samuel Jennings, Caleb Ayer and Lilly Wolf were just shy of the medals, taking 4th place in the Junior Division.
The team is looking forward to the Grand American Youth Trapshooting Championships in Sparta, Illinois this August
