1951-2021
John Roy Overhulser, 70 of Wyaconda, MO died Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at his home.
He was born February 4, 1951 in LaHarpe, IL the son of Wayne and Nelda Mae Lipper Overhulser.
He graduated from Clark County R-1 with the Class of 1970.
John was first married to Cheryl Holder and to this union four children were born.
They later divorced.
On March 14, 1996 John was united in marriage to Teresa Ragon in Branson, MO and she preceded him in death on January 21, 2004.
On November 18, 2005 he was united in marriage to Judy Evermon in Wyaconda.
She survives.
He is also survived by three daughters, Dana Overhulser (Gary Donnelly) of St. Louis, Lynettia Overhulser of Kahoka, and Katrina McClain (Jerred) of Wayland, a step daughter, Pamela Stephens (Josh) of Linn, his grandchildren, Michaela Overhulser, Colleen Overhulser, Sierra Felling and Victoria McClain, step-grandchildren, Connor Stephens, Rachel McClain, Cameron McClain and Seth Tarpein, great-grandchild, Aden Lewis.
He is also survived by two sisters, Jo Cochenour of Lebanon, MO and Deloris Branson (Ernie) of Kahoka and many nieces nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, John Roy Overhulser, one granddaughter, Christina Felling, one brother, David Overhulser and his wife Hope.
John was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He had been employed as a driver for Trump Trucks, TNT Trucking and WM Johnson and drove for thirty-eight years.
He was a member of the VFW and the Moose Lodge.
John enjoyed camping, playing cards and socializing.
He loved to ride his motorcycle and participating in the Relay For Life Motorcycle Poker Run.
Most of all, John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka with Pastor Shawn McAfee officiating.
Burial with military rites will be in the Combs Cemetery in Luray.
Visitation will be held after 1 p.m., Friday at the funeral home with the family meeting with friends from 5 – 8 p.m.
