 JACQUELYN “JACKIE” BRONSTINE 

Jacquelyn “Jackie” Bronstine, 82, of Wayland, passed away at 6:27 pm on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois. 

She was born on June 27, 1941, in Clark County, the daughter of the late Francis & Eleanor Jacqueline (Malone) Smith. Jackie married Bobbi Bronstine on January 9, 1984, in Kahoka and he preceded her in death on November 7, 2019. 

Jackie had worked in several different capacities throughout her life, she first began working as a waitress in Clark County, then as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant and later as a cook at Morgan’s in Alexandria. She enjoyed reading and sewing. Jackie often looked forward to attending church services and she was always wanting to help a charitable organization or someone in need. She liked listening to Celtic music as well as music on the harpsichord. Gardening was a hobby of hers and she enjoyed canning that which she had grown in her garden. 

She is survived by two sons; Jeffery Hardman of Gowrie, Iowa & Garrett (Rechilda) Hardman of Semmes, Alabama, a daughter; Sherry Daggs of Donnellson, Iowa, several half siblings, grandchildren; Tiffany & Jacob Bridges, Crystal (Cole) Newlan, Lisa Ball, Krista Doyle, Erin Hardman & Sherry Stone, numerous great grandchildren, nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by two sons; James Robert Hardman & Michael Eugene Hardman and by a daughter; Shirley Ball. 

Funeral services honoring Jackie’s life will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home of Kahoka. Bro. Rick Kent will officiate. Interment will follow at the Kahoka City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of services at the funeral home.
