Friday Morning Collision Kills Tennesse Woman
A two car, head on collision Friday morning on Highway 27, two miles south of Wayland left a Clarksville, Tennessee woman dead and three others injured.
According the the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Pamela A. Lujan, 47, died at the scene.
Lujan and her passenger, Sheryl A. Dermott, 56, of Nashville, TN, were northbound in a 2003 Honda Civic when a 2007 Ford driven by Holly S. Pratt, 49, of Keosauqua lost control and crossed the center line.
Pratt and Lujan were flown to Blessing Hospital in Quincy by Air Evac, both with serious injuries. Gayle G. Hervey, 42, also of Keosauqua, was transported to Keokuk Area Hospital with minor injuries.
Pratt was issued a summons for failure to drive on the right side of the roadway resulting in an accident.
The accident was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, with the assistance of the Clark County Sheriff’s Department, Clark County Rescue, and Wayland Fire and Rescue.
