City crews will soon have new tool to help the pick up brush and debris.  On Monday night, February 18, the Kahoka Board of Aldermen considered three bids for a “grapple bucket” for the city’s Bobcat. The attachment allows for easy handling of a variety of hard-to-manage material, such a waste, scrap and brush.
The city received three bids for the bucket:  Wiss & Wiss bid $3727 for a 66 inch Bobcat bucket, and $3657 for a 66 inch Horst Bucket.  Bobcat of Ames, Iowa, bid $3613.50 for a Bobcat bucket.  The council accepted the Wiss & Wiss bid of $3727.
The board approved revisions to Ordinance #375, which was the wireless provider tax settlement with AT&T.  The revised ordinance passed on three readings.
In other business, the council gave its consent to start the cemetery sexton’s pay effective on the date of his appointment, February 11.
The board also set Monday, March 3, as the night for reviewing the proposed 2009 fiscal budget.
The council went into closed session  under RSMo Section 610.021 (3).  The closed session dealt with interview.
