Running Fox Elementary On MAP Top 10 List

 Running Fox Elementary was listed on the Missouri Department of Education’s website as one of the Top Ten Schools in Percent of Students Scoring at the “Proficient” and “Advanced” Levels in 4th grade Math. The report prepared by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education recognized schools for high performance on the spring 2007 assessment for grades 3-8, 10 and 11 in communication arts and mathematics. The report shows Running Fox Elementary as the top school in 4th grade math with 93.3% of Running Fox 4th graders scoring in the Advanced and Proficient levels on the MAP test, while the state average was only 45.3%. The report groups schools according to size and Running Fox was placed in the group of schools with fewer than 250 students. Running Fox Principal, Julie Brotherton stated, “I am very proud of these students and of the staff who helped them with their success. Students and teachers have worked hard to receive this honor and we hope to make this a tradition.”
