Clark County Longbeards Banquet Scheduled

The Clark County Longbeards and the National Wild Turkey Federation will be holding their Annual Fundraising Banquet to be held on October 11, 2008 at the Clark County Middle School. Doors open at 5:30 and dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m. with all the auction items to be observed and games to be played.

If you need your tickets please contact Jr at 660-866-2590 or Earl at 660-727-2237. They would like to know how many tickets you will be need so we can tell the cater-Steve’s Family Dining how many meals to prepare.

The auction again this year will be conducted by Joanne Ragan. This is a Superfund raising supper with all the proceeds going to the National Wild Turkey Federation Superfund. But our chapter and all the chapters in the nation get to draw from this Superfund to furnish items for our events and help with materials to help us hold our events.

The Clark County Longbeards chapter of the NWTF also raises funds for local scholarships, which are awarded at the high school Academic Awards ceremony in May. In the past few years, the chapter has provided several thousand dollars in scholarships to Clark County graduates to assist them in paying for college.

This year our chapter got to purchase several deer, turkey and other animal targets for target practice. This will help when the chapter holds their JAKES and WITO events. Also ticket will be sold at the door for this fundraising event. Be sure not to miss this fun filled event. Any information you might need be sure to call.
