Clark County R-1 Named “District Distiction in Performance”
Clark County R-1 School District was recently named by the Missouri Department of Education as a District Distinct in Performance. This is the third consecutive year and fourth of the last five years that Clark County R-1 has been honored. The Department of Education measures each school district using indicators of student success. A school must meet 13 out of 14 to be designated a District Distinct in Performance.
The indicators the Department of Education uses are as follows: MAP scores in Communication Arts and Math (broken down to grades 3-5, 6-8, & 9-11), ACT scores, advanced courses offered and attended in high school, career education courses offered and attended in high school, college placement of graduates, career education placement of graduates, graduation rate, attendance rate, and subgroup achievement. The Clark County R-1 School District met all criteria except graduation rate.
A successful school is a community effort and this honor is a direct reflection of the efforts of our patrons, parents, students, and staff.
