Commissioners Tentatively Award Courthouse Bid to Local Contractor

“We intend to award the bid for the construction of the new Clark County Courthouse to Whiston Construction,” said Presiding Commissioner Ron Brewer on Thursday, June 23.

The decision is not final at this time, but Whiston’s bid of $3,300,000 for the project was the lowest of six bids. Other bidders were: Bleigh Construction-$3,768,000, Grooms and Co.-$4,568,000, Cannon Co.-$3,344,000, PSR Construction-$3,312,000, and Par General Contractors-$3,785,000.
