Farm/City Night Scheduled For Feb. 18

The Clark County Extension Council is in the process of
finalizing plans for the 27th Annual Farm/City Night, which is scheduled for
Saturday, February 18th, at the Clark County Middle School in Kahoka. The evening will begin with a free soup and
sandwich supper, provided and served by Clark County Farm Bureau from 4:30 to
6:30 p.m. They would encourage people
to bring a canned food item to be donated to the Clark County Food Pantry.
Clark County 4-H members will provide cookies.
Also during this time, Clark County businesses and organizations will
have displays set up for viewing by the public.

The entertainment will begin at 7:00 p.m. with The Evening
on Broadway Singers from Memphis, MO who will provide a selection of musical
numbers. Steven Parker from Burlington,
IA will present a variety show with puppets, songs and stories. He has been an area favorite with his talents
as a ventriloquist and entertainer. Steven is retired from the Burlington Police
Department and was previously the voice of McGruff, the crime dog.

Many local businesses, organizations and banks provide
funding, door prizes and displays for the program. If you would like to set up a display, contact the Clark County
Extension Office at 727-3339.
