Arrest Made In Kahoka Arson, Burglary Case

Kahoka Police have arrested Dominic Egley, 27, of Kahoka, in connection with a burglary and arson which destroyed Ott’s Auto Supply in Kahoka on July 7.

Egley is charged with Arson (2nd Degree) a Class C Felony, Burglary (2nd Degree), a Class C Felony, and Stealing, a Class C felony.

The complaint and warrant, filed July 7, alleges Egley knowing damaged Ott’s Auto Supply by setting the business on fire. Further, it alleges that Egley unlawfully entered the structure for the purpose of stealing, and that he took over $500 in auto tools and supplies from the business.

Egley was arraigned in Clark County Associate Circuit Court Wednesday morning, July 8, before Judge Rick Roberts. He is being held on a $50,000 cash only bond.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
