Shrine of St. Patrick, Missouri 2016 Celebration Will Be Held Sunday, March 13
The Shrine of St. Patrick in St. Patrick, Missouri, is breaking with tradition and will hold their annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration on Sunday, March 13, 2016.
The pictorial cancellation is available through the month of March at the St. Patrick, Missouri USA Post Office and the date changes daily. The cancellation depicts one large shamrock with twelve small dancing shamrocks and the words “Happy Saint Patrick’s Day Station, March __, 2016, St. Patrick, MO 63466” will be on the cancellation.
Stamped self addressed envelopes requesting the pictorial cancellation may be mailed to Postmaster, St. Patrick, MO 63466 USA. There is no charge for the cancellation. Customers wanting the postmarked envelope returned under protected cover should include a large, stamped, self-addressed envelope. If you want the shamrock cachet designed by Father O’Duignan in 1936 on your envelope, please mail to Shrine of St. Patrick, Box 34, St. Patrick, MO 63466 USA and ask for the CACHET. Shrine volunteers will hand stamp the green shamrock cachet on your envelope and mail the envelope on your requested mailing date. The St. Patrick Post Office will be open on Sunday, March 13.
The Shrine of St. Patrick has a commemorative card and envelope for purchasing, along with postcards and a limited supply of previous March 17 postmarked envelopes. The St. Patrick Novena will be held from March 9-17.

Roger and Aaron Watson will provide live Irish music on March 13. A roast beef dinner will be served from 11-2:30 in the church basement for a cost. Grab bags may be purchased. A silent auction will fe held and the Daughters of Isabella will be holding a super bake sale.
Tours of the church and museum will be conducted between noon and 2:30 p.m.
