City of Kahoka Closes Office In Response to COVID-19

An Emergency meeting was held this morning at 8:00am without notice to the public, with the circumstances being to discuss the need to continue providing essential City services in a manner that is both safe for City employees and the public.

After taking into consideration the executive order issued by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services on March 21, 2020, the Mayor and Board of Aldermen agreed that City Hall will be closed to the public until further notice in an effort to protect City employees and the public from the threat of the COVID-19 virus.  This is being done in order to minimize social contact among the general public and City employees to ensure the continued delivery of essential City services (fire, police, sewer, street, water, electric, etc.) to residents.  City employees will continue to report to work as scheduled.

All payments can be made by phone or either of our drop boxes, which are both under video surveillance.  We strive to serve you in every possible way and thank you for your understanding.

City employees will continue to be available by phone at (660) 727-3711 from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, if you have any questions or concerns.  In the event of a power outage or other emergency that occurs after normal business hours please call (660) 727-3161.
