The Clark County Lady Indians hosted Hannibal on Wednesday evening.
After two scoreless innings, Clark County exploded for four runs in the third inning. Gena Edmondson grounded out, and Olivia Miller singled. Alexis Ellison homered. Ally Fox singled, and Kiara Brunk popped out. Elly Hamner walked. Erin Bash took Hamner’s place on base as a courtesy runner. A Darian Harper double drove Fox and Bash home, and Clark County led 4-0
In the fourth inning, Hannah Hill led off with a single. Edmondson lined out to center. Olivia Miller singled. Ellison was out on a line drive to third. Ashtyn Ebeling took Hill’s place as a courtesy runner. Fox singled, scoring Ebeling. Miller scored on an error. Brunk doubled to bring Fox home, as the Lady Indians went up 7-0.
Ebeling popped out to start the fifth inning. Hill singled, and Hope Ross took her place on base. Edmondson doubled, moving Ross to third. Miller hit a fly ball to center, and Ross tagged up and scored. Ellison hit a two-run homer to end the contest early, 10-0 in five innings.
Ellison had two hits, both homers, to lead the Lady Indian hitting. Miller and Fox added two hits each.
Ebeling gave up only one hit from the mound, and stuck out two Hannibal batters.
