SEAN “WOODY” VERDON

Sean “Woody” Verdon, 39, of St. Francisville, passed away at 7:10 pm on February 13, 2021 surrounded by friends and family at his home.

He was born on October 30, 1981 in Keokuk, Iowa, to Todd Verdon and Kathy Springer Long. 

Woody was always a kind, loving, ornery, and hardworking man. 

He loved fishing and turkey hunting with his buddies Bub and Jason Overhulser, two man cruiser racing, soccer, and he also enjoyed his Thursday men’s pool league in Van Buren County at AJ’s Bar & Grill, and travelling to Alabama for bass fishing tournaments with Bub.  

Woody was known to build cardboard boats for St. Jude’s and float them down the Des Moines River. 

Woody was employed by Peters Heating and Air Conditioning for 15 years in Hamilton, IL as an HVAC Tech.

Woody is survived by his loving and caring partner, Rose Fox, mother, Kathy Springer Long, father Todd Verdon and step-mother Suzanne. 

Grandmother Neva Springer, Brother Josh (Dede) Verdon and step-brother Jason Fortune of Ft. Madison.

A visitation for Woody will be held on Wednesday, February 17th from 5:00 – 8:00pm at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka. 

Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am Friday, February 19, 2021 at the Sand Cemetery in St. Francisville. 

Pastor Shawn McAfee will officiate. 

A Celebration of Life for Woody will be held at the Care Building in Kahoka, everyone is invited to attend.

Memorial contributions in memory of Sean “Woody” Verdon are suggested to the Clark County Mule Fest.
