The Marilyn Hart Children’s Theatre is once again preparing for its annual show at the Grand Theatre in Keokuk. There are 35 students from around the Tristate area taking part and this year, eight of the participants are from Clark and Scotland County. The show is “Matilda Jr.”, and the group has been rehearsing since May 10th focusing on choreography, songs and learning various acting techniques. They also play drama games to help build theatre skills, confidence, and have fun. Great River Players offers their Summer Youth programs each year free of charge to students of the Tristates.
Area participants who will be showing off their skills include top row L-R: Aynsley Harmon, Eden Kearse, Maci Chochenour, and Isabelle Brotherton. Bottom row: Ciara Smith, Kenna Campbell, and Hayden West. Not pictured is Terrigan McAfee.
The show will be presented June 25th at 7:30pm and 26th at 2:00pm at the Grand Theatre in Keokuk. Admission is by free will donation.
