Kahoka-Clark County was outgunned early in their season opener by a hot-shooting Scotland County team. The Tigers rolled up 18 first quarter points, and allowed only eight by Clark County.
The Indians stepped up their performance in the second quarter, adding 12 points. At the half, Clark County trailed 33-20.
Four Indians scored in the third quarter, but the Tigers extended their lead to 45-31.
Clark County had a strong finish, powered by Carter Briscoe, who poured in a dozen points in final quarter. In the fourth, Clark County outscored Scotland County 16-9, but the Tigers hung on for a 54- 47 win.
Briscoe had 21 points to lead all scorers. Jonny Shinn added 11, and Collin Hunziker scored seven for Clark County. Gage Winters and Drayson Daniel added four points each for the Indians.
The Indians play this week in the Tri-Rivers Classic Tournament.
