Clark County R-1 School District is excited to announce Megan Alderton has been promoted to Assistant High School Principal for the 2024-2025 school year. Megan Alderton will replace Dennis Dent as Assistant High School Principal. Dent was promoted to High School Principal earlier this spring.
Mrs. Alderton has served as the high school guidance counselor the previous five years. She taught high school science for two years prior to moving into the guidance counselor position. Alderton is a graduate of Clark County High School and received her Bachelor of Health Science degree from the University of Missouri. Alderton earned a Master of School Counseling degree from Missouri Baptist University and an Educational Specialist K-12 Leadership degree from Northwest Missouri State University.
Megan and her husband, Justin, along with their three children Kason, Clayton, and Chloe live in the Clark County School District.
