After several months of parental pressure, the Clark County R-1 School Board finally settled the request to open the Running Fox school building earlier.
They said “No.”
At their August 8 board meeting, a motion was made to allow students into the building at 7:45am. The motion failed with a 1-5 vote, ending months of back and forth.
The board also approved updates to the student handbook at all school specifying that parents are responsible for their students outside of the buildings.
In other business, the board:

•Purchased two used school buses. Both are 2020 Internationals. One bus has 29,000 miles, and the other has 40,000 miles. The cost was $79,979 each.
