Accident Claims The Life of Kahoka Lineman 

A work-related accident claimed the life of a City of Kahoka lineman on Tuesday, September 10. The City of Kahoka issued the following statement: 

“It is with deep sadness that the City of Kahoka announces the passing of a valued employee, Carson Birck, following a tragic work-related accident that occurred on September 10, 2024. Our hearts go out to his wife, parents, siblings, and many other family and friends who are grieving the loss of our dear friend and co-worker Carson. Carson will be greatly missed. The City of Kahoka has initiated the process of hiring an independent third-party safety expert to investigate the accident and complete a review of and provide recommendations related to the City of Kahoka’s safety practices.”
