REBA ANN FLOREA
Reba Ann Florea, age 91, of Kahoka, Missouri, passed away early Thursday morning, January 9, 2025, at the Clark County Nursing Home at Kahoka.
Born August 24, 1933, in Palmyra, Missouri, Reba was a daughter of Harvey and Florence Landt Hinkson.
On December 25, 1955, she was united in marriage to Delmar Franklin Florea. They celebrated 69 years of marriage this past December.
Surviving are her husband, Delmar of Kahoka; a daughter, Reta Kay Florea of Kahoka; a son, Douglas D. Florea and Debra of Kahoka; two grandchildren, Norma Sizemore and Darrell of Sturgeon, MO, and Justin Florea and Chrisha of Kahoka; and three great grandsons, Darrell Sizemore III, Grayden Florea, and Dallas Shannon; one sister, Elva Spicknall of Lewistown, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Edward Hinkson, Ben Hinkson and David Hinkson; and two sisters, Mary Ellen Minear and Laura Luker.
Reba was a graduate of the La Belle High School. She was employed in Galesburg, IL, then in Quincy, IL at Motorola. For thirty-two years she was a departmental boss at the Dadant Candle Factory in Kahoka.
Reba was strong believer in faith. She was a member of the Peaksville Christian Church where she attended regularly. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, her flower gardens, and hummingbirds. Reba was a people person, she enjoyed meeting people and most of all visiting with her family. Her special character trait was that she always put others first, before herself.
Visitation will be on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from noon until 2:00 P.M. at the Coder Funeral Chapel in La Belle, MO. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in the La Belle Cemetery.
