PALMYRA, Mo. — The Palmyra Panthers used a dominant second-half performance to secure a 54-39 victory over the Clark County Indians in a key Clarence Cannon Conference matchup on Wednesday night. The win improved Palmyra’s record to 20-5, while Clark County dropped to 9-13.
The Panthers built on a slim 22-19 halftime lead, outscoring the Indians 32-20 in the second half. Raeson Miller led the way with 18 points, consistently finding gaps in the defense and converting high-percentage shots. Mason Smith added 10 points, providing a strong inside presence, while Ryan McKinney chipped in 7, helping to maintain Palmyra’s offensive rhythm.
Clark County kept the game close through the first two quarters, led by Grayden Kleine’s 11 points and Isaiah Hardin’s 9. Harrison Parker contributed 7 points, and both Chayce Webster and Corrick Hunziker added 5 each. Despite their efforts, the Indians struggled to match Palmyra’s pace in the second half.
The Panthers’ defensive adjustments after halftime limited Clark County’s scoring opportunities, allowing Palmyra to control the tempo and extend their lead. With steady ball movement and balanced scoring, the Panthers pulled away in the final quarter, outscoring the Indians 17-10 to seal the win.
