Ring them bells, HE Has Given Us New Life:
Christmas is a celebration, a time of joy. What could have made thishappen? The shepherds could see the star, they could hear the angels’ voices, but the City of Bethlehem was quiet. It was filled with travelers who were thereonly to pay their assessed taxes. There was no room for frivolity. Give the King his ransom and go home. It was not noticed when the three wise men brought God’s Son gifts. It is we who have done this, commercialized everything thatChristian believers hold dear.
We are all paying the price. All that we do, all that we have is manmade.
Then came Easter – The Son of God had grown, matured, became ateacher, spoke to the multitudes, performed miracles, asked us to follow Him,believe in Him, Trust Him, Obey His Father’s words.
They crucified Him. They laid Him in a grave on a pallet of stone forthree days – But He came forth. He showed Himself to those who loved Him,He was alive and He arose unto the Heavens, and the earth rejoiced.
There were no sounding of trumpets, no clashing of cymbals, no bells,no twinkling of lights. But the earth was born again. All living things bring forth new life, from tiny microbes to the elephants of the jungle. The fish of the seas sing with new life. The fowl of the air, migrating on the wind, their songs a cacophony of voices only their own understand. The four-footed, the eight-legged creatures, the two-winged fowl, The tiny flyingbugs that show us where to look for them with their self-powered neon tails -but never say a word. The crickets chirping, hiding in the grass. The new buds, the start of new fruit.
What have we humans given in return? Chocolate rabbits, colored eggs,another toy, a moment of reverence? It is not until Thanksgiving we consider sharing a meal and watching sports on T.V. while complaining about our full bellies. By October the businesses are full of artificial Christmas paraphernalia.
We must go back 2000 years – Back to understand a Savior was born, unto us a Son was given to die for our sins, and we call Him “Jesus”. How often have you said that name in vain?
Let you heart and soul pull a switch, push a button, open your mind. Goback to the beginning – To Genesis Ch. 1: vs 1.
“In the beginning God created the Heaven and the earth.”
The only way to do this is to believe. In God; our Father in Heaven and earth.Jesus; His Son, our Savior and Redeemer. And the Holy Spirit within our hearts and souls. Then go to the teacher – the Word of God (The King James Version)and learn.
