Kahoka Man Injured in Early Morning Motorcycle Crash Near Iowa Border

CLARK COUNTY, Mo. — A 21-year-old Kahoka man sustained moderate injuries after his motorcycle struck a deer on Missouri Highway 81 early Thursday morning, just a half-mile south of the Iowa state line in Clark County.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:20 a.m. on May 15, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The man was riding a 2016 Harley Davidson Ultra Glide northbound when the collision occurred. He was not wearing a helmet.
The motorcycle suffered extensive damage and was towed from the scene by a family member. The rider was transported by Clark County emergency personnel to Van Buren Hospital for treatment.
Master Sergeant Siegfried of Troop B investigated the crash. The Clark County Sheriff’s Department and Clark County Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
