The Clark County Nursing Home Volunteer Auxiliary held its bi-monthly meeting on May 20, 2025. The primary topic of discussion was the group’s current fundraiser to benefit the auxiliary fund, which supports resident activities such as prizes for weekly bingo games, gifts for the December birthday party, candy for Halloween, Sentimental Reflections videos, and family night events.
The fundraiser features a raffle for a cookout basket filled with items such as paper plates, napkins, cups, condiments, cookies, cooking utensils, and more. The basket also includes $100 in gift cards from C&R Markets and Kahoka Farm and Home.
Raffle tickets are available at the nursing home or from any auxiliary member. Tickets are priced at $1 each or six for $5. The drawing will take place at the nursing home on June 23, 2025.
In addition to the raffle, the auxiliary continues to sell high-quality pecans from Georgia. Sixteen-ounce bags of pecan pieces are available for $12, and 12-ounce bags of pecan halves are $9. According to the group, they even undersell Walmart. The pecans can be purchased at the nursing home.
The next meeting of the Clark County Nursing Home Volunteer Auxiliary is scheduled for July 15, 2025.
