WAYLAND, Mo. — A 24-year-old Alexandria man sustained minor injuries Monday afternoon when the truck he was driving overturned following a tire malfunction in Clark County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
The crash occurred at approximately 2 p.m. on Route C, four miles north of Wayland. Authorities said the 2001 International F4900 was traveling southbound when a tire malfunction caused the vehicle to overturn.
The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by private vehicle to Fort Madison Community Hospital for treatment. The truck sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Rairden’s Towing.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
