HANNIBAL— The Missouri Department of Transportation’s Northeast District is pleased to announce the appointment of Keith Killen as the new Assistant District Engineer. He will take over the position previously held by Kevin James, who recently was named Northeast District Engineer.
Killen brings more than 30 years of dedicated service and extensive engineering experience to this leadership role. Throughout his career with MoDOT, Killen has demonstrated a strong commitment to delivering safe and efficient transportation solutions while mentoring teams and supporting the district’s mission to serve the traveling public.
In his new position, Killen will help oversee operations across the Northeast District, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
Killen began his career with MoDOT in 1993, holding various positions in design and project management, including the role of Project Director for the Champ Clark Bridge. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is a life-long native of Shelby County where he resides with his wife Missy. They have three children, Andy, Anna and Sarah.
