The Clark County Indians scored twice in the span of twenty seconds in the second quarter, then added an insurance touchdown before the half to defeat the visiting Macon Tigers at home on Friday evening, by a 20-6 margin.
The Clark County Historical Society Museum may be on the way to reopening. After being closed for several months, Kahoka Mayor Jerry Webber is looking for volunteers to serve on the board or in any capacity.

The Clark County Mule Festival will have flags from all 50 states, thanks to the work of sixth grader Lindsey Williams.
Jerry Redding of Wiss and Wiss was honored for being a Bobcat dealer for 15 years.

Clark County Farm Bureau Queen Nancy Campbell was honored at the annual Farm Bureau meeting.
An Odessa couple was slightly injured in a plane crash, as they attempted to land at the Kahoka airfield.
Building additions are being constructed by Whiston Construction Company at Black Hawk and Running Fox elementary schools.

A new IGA Foodliner is being built in Kahoka, with manager Sig Waschenbach.
A $265,000 Community Bloc Grant has been approved for Kahoka. The plan provides for housing rehabilitation, storm sewer, and street and park improvements.

Herbert Butler of Rock Island, III., son of Barton Butler, has been employed as deputy city marshal, succeeding Lyle Conger, who resigned.
Floyd Leach has been engaged by the City Council as manager of electric and water distribution.
Elmer Boatman, 20, of Wayland, is hospitalized with a deep cut on his right arm, sustained in a truck-car accident, two miles east of Kahoka.

Mrs. Jess Wood saved her little four-year-old daughter Pauline, from drowning, last Thursday, when she went down into a 20 foot well, where the baby had fallen.
John Foster, who lives above the forks of the “Walkindaw” in the western part of the county was in the city, Wednesday. Says he has not discovered any more teeth of prehistoric animals.
John Buschling’s boy and a friend were riding a motorcycle, Tuesday, on the cement road, when a large bulldog questioned the right of way. The mix-up caused much pain to all interested…A new radio is installed in the Frank Shaw home, a birthday present from Lizzie Shaw to her mother.
