Clark County Falls to Centralia in Regular Season Finale, Looks Ahead to Districts
CENTRALIA, Mo. — The Clark County Lady Indians closed out their regular season Friday night with a tough 55-34 loss on the road against the Centralia Lady Panthers. Despite the setback, the Lady Indians showed grit and determination, setting their sights on the upcoming district tournament that kicks off Monday, February 24.
Facing a powerhouse Centralia squad that entered the game with a dominant 23-1 record, Clark County knew they had a challenge ahead. But the Lady Indians didn’t back down, battling through all four quarters behind a standout performance from senior Sydnee Binsbacher, who poured in 19 points to lead all scorers. Binsbacher’s aggressive drives and sharp shooting kept Clark County within striking distance at key moments.
Kaylie Yates also made her presence felt, contributing 11 points and giving the Lady Indians a much-needed spark on offense. Tianna Little and Maggie Wheeler each added two points, rounding out the scoring for Clark County.
The Lady Indians found themselves trailing 16-10 after the first quarter and struggled to close the gap as Centralia’s depth and defensive pressure took control. Despite a strong push in the fourth quarter, Clark County couldn’t overcome the deficit
