Commencement Held for Clark County R-1 Class of 2026
Clark County R-1 High School held its commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 17, at the high school gymnasium with family, friends, and community members gathered to celebrate the graduating Class of 2026.
The ceremony opened with the traditional processional, “Pomp and Circumstance,” performed by Robert Dooley and the Clark County High School Band. Isabelle Brotherton, Class Vice President, welcomed those in attendance with her speech, “The End of the Beginning.” Musical selections during the ceremony included “I Was Here,” by Hillary Scott and “Climb Every Mountain,” by Rodgers & Hammerstein, which were performed by Robert Dooley and the Clark County High School Choir.
Class President and Co-Valedictorian Kai Binsbacher delivered a message titled “The Next Chapter,” followed by Co-Valedictorian Aynsley Harmon, who shared a message titled “The Real World.” Presentation of awards was conducted by High School Principal Dennis Dent, followed by the presentation of diplomas by School Board President Broderick Bush.
Several students were recognized during the awards presentation. Kai Binsbacher received honors as Co- Valedictorian and earned the Outstanding Senior, Class Choice, and Citizenship awards. Aynsley Harmon was recognized as Co-Valedictorian and received awards for High ACT, Citizenship, and Leadership. Zachary Irvin also received the Citizenship Award.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of the graduating class and the recessional performed by the Clark County High School Band.
