JANICE ANN HAUSER

Janice Ann Hauser passed away on 12 Feb. 2021 in the company of her husband Max Hauser and her son Chris Hauser. 

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jamie Kim Hauser, her mother Irene Hudnut, her father Ezekiel Hudnut and brother James (Jim) Hudnut.  

She had one surviving brother Ronald “Ronnie” Hudnut. 

She was 79 years and passed away due to complications from COPD.  

Janice grew up in Williamstown, Missouri attended nursing school in Burlington, IA and married Max Hauser 14 Jan. 1962. 

They lived near Montrose, IA. for many years. 

She worked at Fruehauf and Dupont for several years, then returned to school to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, specializing in troubled youth and geriatric care.  

She, along with her husband worked in Ohio, before retiring in Charlotte NC and then Franklin VA. 

She was a wonderful mother, wife and friend to her family and her community. 

She was a caring friend who enjoyed reading and writing, her flowers and plants.  

She was always quick to come to the aid of friends and strangers alike. 

Her spirit was indomitable and she rose to challenges that life presented to her with grace and serenity.  

She was the bedrock and cornerstone of the family and always kept everyone moving forward with a positive word and a “no-nonsense” approach to life. 

She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. 

She will be cremated. 

There will be no viewing or funeral prior to cremation.

 In lieu of flowers friends and family are invited to make donations to charities of their choice in her name.
