MARY BURCHETT MCGEE HANSON
Mary Burchett McGee Hanson, 83, of Kahoka died Friday, September 17, 2021 at LaBelle Manor in LaBelle, Missouri.
She was born June 11, 1938 the daughter of Ernest and Veleta Roberts Burchett. She was united in marriage to Steve Hanson. He survives.
She is also survived by two sons, Bobby Hurt (Phyllis) of Kahoka and Roger Hurt (Tammi) of Kahoka, one daughter, Becky Hurt of Ft. Madison, two step sons, Jesse McGee of Ft. Madison and Bob McGee (Wanda) of Wyoming, one step daughter, Kimmy Korschgen of Keokuk, eight grandchildren, fifteen step grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and thirteen step grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Ernie Burchett of Keokuk and a sister, Arlene Hanson (Lyle) of Texas, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons, Gary Hurt, Michael McGee and Charles Robert McGee, and her step children Thelma McGee, Ellie McGee and Kevin McGee.
Mary was a member of Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Kahoka.
She was employed with the Clark County Nursing Home as a CNA for many years until her retirement.
She was musically inclined and played numerous instruments even though she couldn’t read a music note.
She enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.
A private graveside service will be held Monday, September 20, 2021 at the Kahoka Cemetery.
The Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka is assisting the family with arrangements.
